EU-Supply wins the Doffin contract
EU-Supply has won the contract for Doffin – The Norwegian national database for public procurement!
Doffin is being set up to help Norwegian Authorities to create and to publish Notices in accordance with the Norwegian EU based public procurement regulations. The service will be in operation at the turn of the year 2013/2014.
Since all Notices above Norwegian thresholds have to be published through this site, it is an important source for suppliers who are interested in finding sales opportunities in the public sector. There is around 14 000 notices published on Doffin every year. The number of notices is expected to increase.
Doffin is administered by the Agency for Public Management and eGovernment (Difi) under authority of the Ministry of Government Administration and Church Affairs (FAD).
Difi expects the value of the contract to be £ 2 750 000 for the initial 7 years. Near half of the contract value is the expected value of translation services for notices to be published at EU level. There is also an option for extensions of up to 5 years.
As described by Difi, EU-Supply won the Doffin contract thanks to a more modern platform with more and better functionality for both those who shall publish tenders and those seeking opportunities. This provides the necessary flexibility for future development needs and will provide a better user experience for the Norwegian authorities and suppliers according to Difi; http://www.difi.no/artikkel/2013/08/doffin-kontrakt-tildelt-eu-supply
