How do buyers account for differences between offers during Online Bidding?
The buyer takes all the relevant company and product factors into consideration when buying through Online Bidding. They can set adjustment factors, as percentages and/or lump sums, to account for differences between offers such as payment terms, product quality, delivery and past trading relationships. Bids placed by competitors are displayed with the adjustment factors included to create a ‘level playing field’ for all of the bidders.
